Kate & Billy | Science-Inspired Wedding at The Pointe in Louisville, KY | Featured in Kentucky Bride Magazine

Kate and Billy are truly relationship goals. Their love story spans years, science classrooms, and shared playlists—and every bit of that history showed up beautifully in their wedding day. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that every detail had been chosen with care and meaning. Think: rust and amber tones, incredible florals, gold geometric accents, and one of the most creative uses of propagation tubes I’ve ever seen in reception table styling.

The whole day felt both effortlessly elegant and deeply personal.

Kate described their wedding as having a “subtle theme,” brought to life in the small, thoughtful touches. Their ceremony honored not just their love, but their shared curiosity and joy—quoting Neil deGrasse Tyson and Carl Sagan instead of traditional readings. Their officiant was someone especially meaningful to Billy: his first co-teacher and now a lifelong friend who even wore a kilt to honor his Scottish-Irish heritage.

And the reception? Absolute magic. From a cigar moment with the groomsmen to over 180 hand-decorated cookies as science-inspired guest favors (oxytocin and dopamine molecules included!), Kate and Billy truly made it their own. Their first dance to Coldplay’s The Scientist was the perfect nod to their shared past, and their future together feels as full of discovery and wonder as the stars they love to study.

I’m so honored to have captured their day—and even more thrilled to share that it was featured in Kentucky Bride Magazine!
